When the world is now perceived as ‘a global village’, English, with its common qualities, has played a dominant role in daily communication. Nowadays, it is not uncommon to notice the settings-based uses of this language, ranging from English for daily communication, English in international tests to English for academic purposes, etc. However, general English, thanks to its significance in establishing the foundation of language acquisition and sharpening learners’ aspects of languages, still stands out. This course, with 12 units covering high-interest topics, aims to help students at low intermediate level to understand and apply basic grammar points, vocabulary and functional languages into daily communication situations. Notably, this course also focus on improving students’ fluency and reflexes with additional documents taken from real-life settings.
